How we put this guide together

We didn't rank anyone. Firms are listed alphabetically and described by what they're good at. To get on the list, a firm had to work mainly with SMEs, have a Singapore office, and have a track record we could check. In October 2026 we read each firm's own website, its listings on government platforms such as GoBusiness, and its reviews on platforms like Clutch. No firm paid to be included.

We also dropped a few names from the first version of this guide. Some turned out to be sales outsourcing or marketing agencies rather than consultancies, and one was too new to have a track record yet.

Disclosure: this guide is published by Inncelerator, which is also one of the consultancies listed.

Business consultancies for SMEs in Singapore

Advanced Consultancy

Best for Established SMEs (roughly 10+ staff and S$1m+ revenue) wanting a structured growth plan
Founded 2013, led by founder and CEO Chris Chen
Office Wintech Centre, 6 Ubi Road 1, Singapore 408726
Website advancedconsultancy.com.sg

Advanced Consultancy started out doing ISO management systems and grew into one of the more established names in SME strategy work. Its main programme, Business Strategy Development, looks at a company through six areas: leadership and culture, customers, people, processes, strategy, and knowledge. Projects usually run four to six months, followed by up to two years of implementation support.

It also helps companies prepare for Business Excellence certification and the Data Protection Trustmark, and runs in house training. The firm itself is Singapore Quality Class certified, and its consultants hold management consulting credentials such as the SCMC.

Highlights: long implementation support, Business Excellence experience, and a client list across construction, F&B, logistics, manufacturing and retail, including Goh & Foong Contractors, How's Catering and Atelier Tang.

What clients sayTestimonials on the firm's site keep coming back to the same points: owners came away with a clearer strategy and next steps, teams worked together better, and the consultants were patient while guiding them through certification paperwork.

Finnex Management Consulting

Best for SMEs working on sustainability, ESG reporting or overseas expansion
Led by Kei Chia, founder and lead consultant
Office High Street Centre, 1 North Bridge Road, Singapore 179094
Pricing IP and innovation consulting from S$200 an hour, per its GoBusiness listing; 45 minute first consultation free
Website finnex.com.sg

Finnex sits where sustainability and growth meet. It runs ESG maturity assessments, helps with GRI aligned sustainability reports, and is an assessor for COSIRI, an index manufacturers use to measure sustainability readiness. On the growth side, it builds globalisation roadmaps and organises business matching trips, with recent missions to Taiwan and Melbourne.

The firm says about 80% of its clients are SMEs, with the rest start ups, and that roughly 30% are based outside Singapore. Kei Chia is a Registered Management Consultant and a two time winner at the Entrepreneur of the Year awards.

Highlights: sustainability reporting, overseas business matching, IP and trade mark strategy, and SME financing advice.

What clients sayDirectors quoted on the Finnex site mostly talk about the team's market knowledge and the quality of introductions on overseas trips, which is what you'd want from a firm that sells market entry.

Inncelerator

Best for Owners who want advice and the systems built by the same team
Office Cencon Building, 2 Tannery Road, Singapore 347720
Pricing Business Consultancy Starter: fixed S$3,888; builds quoted separately, with 10% off for consultancy clients
Website inncelerator.com/collections/consultancy

Most consultancies hand you a plan and leave. We built Inncelerator the other way round. The consulting sessions cover the problems owners actually bring to us: bringing AI into the business, sales that have stalled, HR and people issues, difficult clients, messy systems and new product lines. Then our team builds whatever the plan needs, from websites and apps to CRMs, automations and hiring systems.

Everything is priced on our site, so you know the cost before you talk to anyone. We're run by people who own and operate businesses in Singapore, which shapes the advice: practical over theoretical.

Highlights: fixed price consulting, implementation in house, and services for clients in Singapore, the UK, the UAE, the USA and Canada.

KeyHole Insights

Best for Getting real market and customer data before a launch, rebrand or market entry
Founded 2018, by a former lead economist at the Ministry of Trade and Industry and EDB
Office 67 Ayer Rajah Crescent, Singapore 139950
Pricing Projects from US$10,000; US$100 to US$149 an hour (Clutch)
Reviews 5.0 on Clutch from 5 reviews (checked October 2026)
Website khinsights.com

KeyHole is a small, research heavy team. Its founder spent years as an economist in government and at BHP before setting up the firm, and it shows in the work: consumer surveys, pricing research, economic advisory and brand strategy, mostly for companies selling into Singapore, China and Southeast Asia. Clients have included Surbana Jurong and CFLD International.

It's a good choice when you're about to spend real money on a decision and want evidence first. It's less suited to day to day operational problems.

Highlights: economist led research, strong reviews for value, and a place in Clutch's Singapore consulting rankings.

What clients sayClutch reviewers praise the depth of the research and how clearly complex methods were explained. One retail client called the work "extremely value for money" next to bigger firms. The one gentle criticism we saw was about slide design.

LiT Strategy

Best for Transformation, job redesign and regional growth projects that may qualify for grants
Founded 2018; led by Lincoln Tan, a Singapore Chartered Accountant and certified management consultant
Office Platinum 28, 28 Genting Lane, Singapore 349585, plus offices in Ho Chi Minh City, Shenzhen and Bangkok
Website lit-strategy.com

LiT Strategy works on the big structural questions: growth strategy, business model changes, process improvement, market research, fundraising and M&A advice, and more recently AI and workflow automation. It's a pre approved consultant for workforce job redesign grants, which matters if you're redesigning roles as you automate.

The firm says it has delivered more than 120 projects across 15 industries and 8 markets. Its case studies are anonymous but specific, such as a bakery chain that went from a 6% net loss to an 11% net profit.

Highlights: finance trained leadership, grant experience, and regional offices if you're expanding into Vietnam, China or Thailand.

What clients sayWe couldn't find independent client reviews for LiT Strategy on Clutch or similar platforms, so ask for references from projects like yours.

SME Centres (Enterprise Singapore)

Best for A free first opinion, grant guidance and a referral to the right specialist
Run by Enterprise Singapore with trade chambers including ASME, SICCI, SMCCI, SMF and SCCCI
Pricing Free consultations
Website enterprisesg.gov.sg

Not a private firm, but leaving them out would be bad advice. SME Centres give free business advisory on financing, productivity, HR and overseas expansion, run business diagnoses, and can tell you which grants your project might qualify for. Enterprise Singapore says the centres helped more than 25,000 companies in 2022.

The trade off is depth. Advisors can point you in the right direction, but a complex project will still need a dedicated consultancy.

TrustPro

Best for Process improvement, ERP projects and innovation work in manufacturing, construction and wholesale
Founded 2019; led by Andrew Tan, a management consultant, PMP and Six Sigma Black Belt
Office Suntec Tower One, 7 Temasek Boulevard, Singapore 038987
Pricing Innovation projects from S$5,000; one hour first consultation free (GoBusiness)
Reviews 5.0 on Clutch from 2 reviews (checked October 2026)
Website TrustPro on GoBusiness

TrustPro is a small, hands on team that focuses on how work actually flows through a business. Its GoBusiness listing says 95% of its clients are SMEs, mostly in food manufacturing, precision engineering, wholesale, construction and marine. It's a sensible pick if your problem is operational: too many manual steps, the wrong system, or an ERP rollout that needs someone to own it.

What clients sayReviewers, including a 3D printing company and a seafood sourcing business, describe the team as responsive and professional, with a strong grasp of systems and process flows.

A note on grants in 2026

Many consulting projects in Singapore are partly funded by government grants, and several firms above help with the paperwork. Enterprise Singapore is merging three grants, the Enterprise Development Grant (EDG), Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG) and Market Readiness Assistance (MRA), into one scheme called EDGE from the second half of 2026. Support levels and rules may change, so check the current terms on the Enterprise Singapore website, and remember that grants usually need to be approved before the project starts.

How to choose the right consultancy

  1. Write down the problem in one sentence. "Sales dropped 20% this year" needs a different firm from "we want to enter Vietnam".
  2. Ask who does the work after the plan. Some firms advise only. Others, like Inncelerator, build the systems too. Neither is wrong, but you should know before you sign.
  3. Get a fixed scope and price in writing. It's the only fair way to compare firms.
  4. Ask for a reference from a similar company. Same size, same industry if possible.
  5. Check grants before you start. Applying after the project begins usually disqualifies it.

Frequently asked questions

What does a business consultancy do for an SME?

It helps you work out what's holding the business back and what to do about it, across strategy, sales, operations, people, technology and finance. Some consultancies also implement the changes, such as new systems or processes.

How much does a business consultant cost in Singapore?

Public figures from the firms above range from about S$200 an hour, to fixed packages around S$3,888, to research projects from US$10,000. Larger transformation projects are usually quoted individually.

Is there free business advice for SMEs in Singapore?

Yes. SME Centres run by Enterprise Singapore and the trade chambers offer free consultations, and several private firms offer a free first session of 30 minutes to an hour.

Can I use a government grant to pay for a consultant?

Often, yes, if the project qualifies and is approved before it starts. EDG, PSG and MRA are being merged into a single scheme called EDGE from the second half of 2026, so check current terms with Enterprise Singapore.

How do I choose between two consultancies?

Compare fixed scopes and prices side by side, ask each for a reference from a similar business, and check who will do the implementation work after the plan is agreed.
