Accounting and Corporate Secretarial Firms for SMEs in Singapore (2026 Guide)

By the Inncelerator team · Published 19 October 2026 · 12 min read

Quick answer: Most Singapore SMEs pay roughly S$300 to S$900 a year for a company secretary and S$75 to S$250 a month for bookkeeping, depending on transaction volume and GST. App based firms like Osome and Sleek suit simple, small companies. Piloto Asia, Tetra Consultants and InCorp suit foreign founders. Margin Wheeler, Acclime and Paul Wan & Co suit SMEs that want a more hands on accountant, and Baker Tilly suits companies that also need an audit. Whoever you pick, check they're registered with ACRA as a Corporate Service Provider.

What every Singapore company has to do each year

Before comparing firms, it helps to know what you're actually paying them for. These are the main legal requirements for a private limited company, from ACRA and IRAS guidance as of October 2026.

Requirement Deadline or rule
Appoint a company secretary Within 6 months of incorporation. Must be a person living in Singapore, and can't be your sole director.
Estimated Chargeable Income (ECI) Within 3 months of financial year end. Not needed if revenue is S$5m or less and ECI is nil.
Annual General Meeting Within 6 months of financial year end, unless you send financial statements to all members within 5 months or members agree to dispense with it.
Annual return to ACRA Within 7 months of financial year end. Late filing costs S$300, or S$600 if more than 3 months late.
Financial statements in XBRL Filed with the annual return. Smaller companies can use simplified XBRL; solvent exempt private companies and some dormant companies are exempt.
Corporate tax return By 30 November. Form C-S if revenue is S$5m or less, Form C-S (Lite) if S$200,000 or less, otherwise Form C.
Audit Not needed for a small company that meets 2 of 3 tests for two years running: revenue S$10m or less, assets S$10m or less, 50 or fewer staff.
GST registration Required once taxable turnover goes above S$1m in a year, or is expected to.

Two changes worth knowing in 2026. First, the Corporate Service Providers Act came into force in June 2025, so anyone filing with ACRA for you, or acting as your company secretary as a business, must now be a registered Corporate Service Provider (CSP). Second, ACRA ran a public consultation in early 2026 on raising the audit exemption thresholds. Nothing has changed yet, but it's one to watch if you're near the S$10m line.

How we put this guide together

Firms are listed alphabetically, not ranked. We picked a spread of types, from app based services to traditional audit firms, because the right choice depends on your company. In October 2026 we read each firm's website and pricing pages, company records, and reviews on Trustpilot, Clutch and Google. We quote review scores where a firm has a meaningful number of reviews we could check, with the date. Read the most recent reviews yourself before you sign, because service can change. No firm paid to be included.

Disclosure: this guide is published by Inncelerator. We don't offer accounting or company secretary services, so we aren't listed.

How to choose the right firm

  1. Check the CSP registration. Since June 2025, firms filing with ACRA for you must be registered Corporate Service Providers. Ask for the number.
  2. Count your transactions. Most monthly prices are based on volume. Know roughly how many invoices and receipts you have each month before you ask for quotes.
  3. Ask what's included. ECI, XBRL, the annual return fee and the tax return are sometimes in the package and sometimes extras.
  4. Ask who your accountant is. A named person who knows your business is worth paying a little more for.
  5. Match the firm to your stage. An app based service is fine for a simple company. Once you need audits, investors or several countries, move to a firm built for that.
